The costs associated with publishing and maintaining this model are covered by Article Processing Charges (APC).

1. What is the Article Processing Charge (APC)?

The Article Processing Charge (APC) is a fee that authors, or their institutions, are required to pay upon the acceptance of their manuscript for publication. This fee covers the costs associated with the peer review process, manuscript editing, typesetting, indexing, and the long-term hosting of articles on our open-access platform.

2. APC Rates

The current APC for Macaw International Journal of Managerial Studies and Research is as follows:

  • Standard APC: 100 USD per article
  • Discounted APC: 50 USD per article (available for authors from low- and middle-income countries)

Please note that the APC is only payable if your manuscript is accepted after peer review. There are no charges for submitting a manuscript or for articles that are not accepted for publication.

  • Waivers: Full or partial waivers of the APC may be available for authors from low- and middle-income countries. Waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis, and authors are encouraged to apply at the time of manuscript submission.
  • Discounts: Discounts may be available for members of professional associations, participants in specific conferences, or for submissions to special issues. Details of any current discounts can be found on our Promotions page.

5. Payment Process

After your manuscript has been accepted for publication, you will receive an invoice for the APC. Payment can be made via the following methods:

  • Credit Card: Secure online payment via credit card is available through our payment portal.
  • Bank Transfer: Instructions for payment via bank transfer will be provided on the invoice.
  • Institutional Payment: Many institutions have agreements with publishers to cover APCs. Please check with your institution to see if they can process the payment on your behalf.

Payment must be received before your article is published. If you have any concerns about making the payment, please contact us as soon as possible.

6. Refund Policy

APCs are non-refundable. Once payment has been made, no refunds will be issued, even if the author withdraws the article after payment. Exceptions may be made in cases of significant errors in the publication process, at the discretion of the editorial board.
