Article Processing Charge (APC)

At Macaw Publications, we are committed to open-access publishing, ensuring that high-quality scholarly research is freely available to the global academic community. To support this sustainable open-access model, we charge an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts. This fee enables us to cover the costs associated with peer review, editorial workflow, production, hosting, indexing, and long-term archiving.

We strive to keep our APCs reasonable and transparent to promote inclusive and equitable participation from authors worldwide.

Standard APC Details

  • Indian Authors: ₹5,000 INR per accepted article

  • International Authors: $100 USD per accepted article

There are no submission charges. APCs are payable only after a manuscript is accepted for publication.

Waiver & Discount Policy

Macaw Publications is committed to supporting researchers with limited funding. APC waivers or discounts may be granted on a case-by-case basis for:

  • Authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries (as defined by the World Bank)

  • Early-career researchers without institutional support

  • Collaborative projects with social or humanitarian impact

Authors requesting waivers should submit a justification at the time of manuscript submission. Waiver decisions do not affect the editorial review process.

Payment Process

Once a manuscript is accepted, authors will receive a formal APC invoice with payment instructions. Payment can be made via:

  • Bank Transfer / NEFT (India)

  • International Wire Transfer / SWIFT

  • Online Payment Gateway (upon request)

All transactions must be completed before final publication.
